Alex Guenette turned the NAPA 100 at Complexe ICAR into a complete weekend statement, leading practice, qualifying on pole and controlling every lap of the NASCAR Canada Series race.
Driving the No. 39 DLGL/GL Électricité-Automatisation Chevrolet, the Terrebonne, Quebec driver established the pace early and never surrendered the lead after the green flag. The victory marked Guenette’s second career NASCAR Canada Series win and his first since 2022.
Pressure Behind the Leader
While Guenette built his winning run at the front, the key battles unfolded behind him. Andrew Ranger moved into third on Lap 2 before closing in on Kevin Lacroix for the runner-up spot. Ranger completed that pass on Lap 19, just before a full-course caution for transmission trouble involving Sam Fellows.
With 20 laps remaining, Guenette led Ranger and Lacroix on the restart. Marc-Antoine Camirand then worked his way past Lacroix to secure third, adding another strong result to a championship campaign in which he remains the points leader.
Further back, Connor Bell and J.P. Bergeron fought over sixth, with contact allowing Bell to claim the position. L.P. Dumoulin later moved into seventh and pressured Bell, but Bell held on through the finish.
Guenette Controls the Finish
There was no late-race opening for the challengers. Guenette maintained command through the closing laps, recorded the fastest lap of the race and completed a wire-to-wire victory at his home track.
Ranger finished second, with Camirand completing the podium after starting sixth. The result kept Camirand atop the championship standings with 539 points, ahead of L.P. Dumoulin at 457 and Lacroix at 433.
The NASCAR Canada Series next heads to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the penultimate event of the 2026 season, scheduled for September 5–6.
