BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — October 18, 2026. Saturday's season-finale weekend at Barber Motorsports Park produced three very different winning stories across Formula Regional Americas, Formula 4 United States, and Ligier Junior Formula competition.
Huerta Raab gets his breakthrough F4 U.S. win
After 10 previous podiums, Chilean driver Clemente Huerta Raab claimed his first Formula 4 United States victory. The Kiwi Motorsport driver battled past reigning champion Gastón Irazú in Turn 6 with just over five minutes remaining and held on to win. Irazú finished second, while Ayden Kohut earned his first podium in third. Caleb Campbell started on pole and led the early stages before the order changed.
Golan adds another FR Americas victory
Already crowned the 2026 Formula Regional Americas champion, Brady Golan won Race 1 for his eighth victory of the season. Kekai Hauanio led from pole initially, but a restart gave Golan the opportunity to move ahead through Turn 6. Hauanio finished second, Cooper Shipman third. Anthony Autiello claimed Masters Cup race honors, while Whitney Strickland secured the Masters Cup championship.
Speth makes Ligier title fight a six-point contest
In Ligier Junior Formula Championship Gen. 2, Jack Speth passed points leader Edward Kennedy on the final lap at Turn 6 to claim his fourth win of the season and reduce the championship deficit to six points with one race remaining. Kennedy took second in the class.
In Gen. 1, already-crowned champion Beckham Jacir continued his dominant run with a 12th win of the season. Ava Hanssen followed in second and AJ Abdullah completed the podium.
Across the paddock, the common thread was clear: a season-ending weekend still delivering career firsts, title pressure and meaningful results even for drivers whose championships were already settled.
