PORT ROYAL, Pa. — Two nights after the Macri Motorsports No. 39M ended upside down while battling near the front of the field, James McFadden delivered the rebound that mattered most: a victory in the 59th Annual Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal Speedway and a $59,000 payday.

McFadden started 11th in Saturday night's 50-lap Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing feature and steadily worked his way into contention while Danny Sams III led the early stages from the pole.

Kasey Kahne moved into second by lap four before Tanner Holmes took over the runner-up spot on lap 10. Holmes then used the outside to get around Sams following a restart and grab the lead with 34 laps remaining.

That was when McFadden entered the fight.

The Macri Motorsports driver climbed to second with 32 laps to go, then capitalized on another restart after Ryan Timms' car broke. McFadden dove underneath Holmes and took command of the Tuscarora 50.

A scheduled competition caution at the halfway mark gave crews five minutes to make adjustments, but the break did little to slow McFadden's charge. Over the final 25 laps, he stayed out front while Holmes, Rico Abreu, Troy Wagaman Jr. and Brent Marks battled behind him.

Holmes slipped as far back as fourth before racing his way back to second and making one final push in traffic, but McFadden never surrendered the lead. He crossed the finish line first to earn his first Tuscarora 50 victory and the event's $59,000 winner's share.

Holmes finished second, with Marks completing the podium in third. Troy Wagaman Jr. finished fourth and Rico Abreu rounded out the top five.

Daison Pursley earned Ramsey's Car Wash Hard Charger honors after advancing 14 positions to finish ninth.
