PUTNAMVILLE, Ind. — Before he was building a World of Outlaws Sprint Car team, Noah West was chasing a different competitive dream on the ice.
West grew up surrounded by motorsports. His father, Jeff, raced and built Supermodifieds in the Northeast before moving to Indianapolis for work in IndyCar. Through the family business, young Noah found himself around respected racing minds and learned the mechanical side of the sport early.
But hockey took center stage during his teenage years. The sport carried him to collegiate competition at the University of Michigan and a professional stint with the Kansas City Mavericks of the ECHL. Even then, sprint car racing remained part of the family story.
Building the No. 51
West made a deeper move into dirt racing when he worked with the Hayward Motorsports No. 19 in 2023, helping an effort that put C.J. Leary into the Eldora Million. He continued pushing his father to add a winged dirt Sprint Car to the family's Three Stooges Racing operation.
That vision became reality during Kings Royal week in 2025, with Joel Myers Jr. debuting the team's No. 51. Scott Bogucki later joined the program, and the family committed to tackling the World of Outlaws schedule in 2026.
A partnership gathering momentum
The team's inaugural national touring campaign has featured several drivers. Bogucki opened the year and delivered an early podium at Lawton Speedway, while Ashton Torgerson took the wheel for much of the summer. Steven Snyder Jr. joined ahead of the Ironman 55 in August.
With Snyder behind the wheel, the team has shown growing pace: a climb from 16th to sixth at the Front Row Challenge, laps led and a top-five result at Huset's Speedway, and a charge from 10th to second at El Paso County Raceway for Snyder's first World of Outlaws podium.
West sees those results as the beginning of something bigger. He wants an organization capable of competing with established teams for years, with the infrastructure to carry on the family's racing tradition.
