LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. — October 10, 2026. The 19th Fall Nationals at Lawrenceburg Speedway ended without a feature race after persistent rain repeatedly interrupted Saturday's USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship program.
Qualifying, the heat races and the semi-feature had been completed before rain forced a lengthy delay. Track crews spent roughly three hours restoring the 3/8-mile dirt oval. Cars returned for hot laps around 10 p.m. Eastern, only for rain to arrive again. Officials canceled the remainder of the program at approximately 11 p.m.
The program counts as official because the preliminary events were completed. USAC stated that the race will not be rescheduled and rain checks will not be issued. Qualified feature entrants received 23 points in addition to points earned in the completed preliminary events; other entrants earned 10 points plus applicable preliminary points.
What happened before the rain?
Kyle Cummins posted the fastest qualifying lap at 13.834 seconds, his eighth fast qualifying performance of the season. Jake Swanson, Robert Ballou and Cale Coons won the three heat races, while Caleb Shietze won the semi-feature.
The cancellation left Cummins atop the series standings with 3,119 points, ahead of Justin Grant at 2,911. The series' next scheduled stop is Dodge City Raceway Park in Kansas on October 16.
