USAC has postponed its Friday, October 16, 2026 AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship event at Dodge City Raceway Park in Kansas to 2027, citing cold temperatures and frigid wind chill.

Dodge City promoter Kyler Fetters said the weather would not provide suitable conditions for the event and that the track looks forward to the series returning on a newly announced date in 2027.

The national sprint car tour is scheduled to resume on Saturday, October 17 at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas.

Fans planning to attend Dodge City should note the change and consult official track and USAC channels for any ticket or rescheduling details.
