SALISBURY, N.C. — October 13, 2026 — The Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota and Millbridge Speedway have canceled the Midget racing portion of the track's November 2–3 World Championship event, citing rising travel costs and the distance many teams would need to travel to compete.

In an announcement issued Tuesday, series and track officials said the decision was made in the best interest of competitors. Many participating teams are based several hundred miles from the North Carolina facility, making the expense of reaching Millbridge a significant factor.

Micro Sprint Racing Still Planned

The cancellation does not mean the full World Championship program is off. Millbridge Speedway is still planning Micro Sprint racing on both Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3.

Fans and competitors should watch for additional details from Millbridge Speedway and the Xtreme Outlaw Series as event plans develop.

Travel Costs Continue to Shape Dirt Racing

The change highlights the logistical and financial challenges that traveling race teams face, from fuel and transportation to time away from home. In February, the Xtreme Outlaw Series had announced a more focused 2026 calendar built around select major events, including the Millbridge World Championship. Tuesday's cancellation alters those plans for Midget competitors.

Pitmark Racing Co. will continue following developments surrounding the November event.
